BrisVegas is one of our longest running premier events in Australia. Coming off the back of the pandemic we're seeing 100% growth event over event for 2022.

Brisvegas the home of Grassroots
After looking for a new venue for 2022 we found our new home at Kedron Wavell RSL located at Chermside on the northside of Brisbane.
With only a 15 min drive from the Brisbane International and Domestic airports our new venue is uniquely positioned between 4 hotels and the 2nd largest Westfield shopping centre in the southern hemisphere.
BrisVegas welcomes Auscraft back to LAN
We finish off the year with a 3 day event covering 2 game titles. We added Starcraft 2 for a 2 day competition hosted alongside CS:GO with live broadcast over on the auscraftgg twitch channel.
We refined our real time graphics overlay system to handle multiple game titles running at the same time as well as some new integrations to help send notifications across multiple teams covering CS:GO and SC2.
Overall we saw fantastic numbers for the live stream and social media engagement for our 3 day event. Our new Scoreboard and MVP screens were working for the finals bracket and we plan to improve the redundancy

We’ve been waiting all year to bring together what we believe to be the Tier 1 experience for the grassroots. We worked together with all of the sponsors to bring to life our vision of 4 separate team booths featuring our brand new sponsor logo walls.
Starcraft 2
Welcome Auscraft to BrisVegas
For the first time since the start of 2020 covid completely put a pin in the plans of Auscraft. We were pleased to reboot the name and bring Starcraft 2 back to LAN alongside Brisvegas. We had 8 players sign up to compete for a $2,000 AUD prize pool. We look forward to having Auscraft back in our future events.

Connecting with our community to generate growth for grassroots
We expanded to 2 game titles in a brand new venue for our last event for 2022. We streamed almost 60 hours across 3 days. Our brand new CS:GO team booths were the perfect setup for the players and really elevated the event overall.

Bringing the Tier 1 experience to the Grassroots
It all starts with the grassroots. You need to grow the bottom to feed the top.
We’ve played host to some of the best CS:GO players in Australia such as Justin "jks" Savage, Aaron "AZR" Ward, Ollie "Dickstacy" Tierney and other international talent such as Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill.
Our format allows for 8 teams to register for a double elim bracket over 3 days competing for thousands of dollars in prize money and MVP awards. We plan to expand our offerings for qualifier spots to future events in our circuits for 2023 and beyond.
BrisVegasLAN Summer 2022 offers a unique experience for everyone involved across multiple roles such as production, socials, admin, tournament management, broadcast, commentating and more.
Our production capabilities with each event grow as we learn from each other and ensure we fix issues leading into the next one. We have a saying here at dfragtv: “It’s okay if something is on fire, as long as we’re all having fun around the flames.” We are building a safe to fail environment whilst delivering a great product. We believe it’s just as important for not just the players to gain experience on LAN but for our staff and volunteers as well.

I haven't had this much fun at a competitive event ever! This beats the experience of most Tier 1 events out there, even overseas. I'm coming back for the next one for sure!
